Welcome to Crafted Ceremonies by Sharon, where every ceremony is crafted with warmth, intention and a deep respect for your story. Whether you’re planning a wedding, a heartfelt farewell, or a joyful naming ceremony, I work closely with you to shape an experience that feels authentically yours. No two lives are the same, and neither are the ceremonies I create — each one is thoughtfully designed to reflect your values, your personality and the moments that matter most. My role is to guide, support and bring your vision to life with professionalism, creativity and genuine care, so you can relax and feel confident that your ceremony will be meaningful, memorable and uniquely you.

Why did I become a Celebrant?

Becoming a celebrant felt like a natural calling for me. I have always been an empath and a helper - the person everyone turns to when they need guidance or support. I connect with people easily and genuinely care about others.

I didn't know much about a celebrants role, but got talking to someone who had recently got married who had been disappointed with her registrar-led service and wished she'd had a celebrant. As soon as I started exploring the role of a celebrant, I knew I'd found my purpose.  I took time off from my full-time job to undergo my training with ICPC (International College of Professional Celebrants).  The training was an amazing experience, and made me realise what an important role this is.

Being a celebrant isn't just a job. It is a responsibility, and one I take very seriously. I am always fully aware of the fact that you only get one chance to capture these special moments, so they have to be crafted and delivered expertly. I take this responsibility to heart, knowing how much trust families and couples place in me to make these moments perfect. That trust matters deeply. I am genuinely passionate about this work, and always aim to bring a warm energy to every ceremony I create. I believe these qualities make me the right person to deliver ceremonies for those important moments.

On a personal level, I'm in my mid-fifties, I have an adult son and live in Tamworth with my fiance.  We love nice food and enjoy travelling whenever we can. Career wise, I spent most of my working life in the logistics industry, firstly in customer service and operational support roles, then went into training. I had a career change in my late 30's and went to work in a school, later training to become a teacher.  I did this for a while, but returned to the logistics industry in 2015. I still do management training alongside my celebrant role.

About me

My sole aim is to make sure that every ceremony reflects the unique story and personality of those being celebrated.

As a fully trained celebrant, I feel passionate about making sure your ceremony is  crafted and delivered with you in mind.  Whether it's a wedding, funeral or naming ceremony I will take the time to truly understand your story, your values and the atmosphere you want to create. My approach is warm and collaborative to make sure I craft a ceremony that feels genuine, inclusive and authentically yours.  I will always ensure that you feel supported and understood throughout the entire process.

Alongside my celebrancy work, I bring over 20 years of experience as a training specialist and a teacher.  Roles that have honed my skills in communication, storytelling, and guiding people through important moments with clarity and confidence. This blend of professional expertise and personal passion allows me to deliver ceremonies that are polished, engaging, and thoughtfully designed.

If you feel we might be a good fit, I’d love to help you create a moment you’ll cherish for years to come.

Wedding Ceremony Arch

Weddings

Making sure your wedding ceremony honours your story, and who you are as a couple is very important to me. Whether you’re dreaming of something traditional, modern, romantic, quirky or completely your own, I take the time to understand what matters most to you. Every element is thoughtfully crafted so your ceremony feels authentic, personal and full of meaning — a true reflection of your personalities, your journey and the love you share.

Funerals

If you chose me as a celebrant for a funeral ceremony, it will be crafted with compassion, dignity and a deep respect for the life being honoured. I work closely with your chosen funeral director to help ensure your loved one’s final journey reflects who they were and the legacy they leave behind. I take the time to truly listen to the bereaved family— to the stories, the memories, the small details that made your loved one unique — and weave these into a ceremony that feels authentic, heartfelt and personal. Every service is crafted as a genuine reflection of the individual, celebrating their life with warmth, sincerity and care.

Naming Ceremonies

A naming ceremony is a beautiful way to welcome a new life into the world, especially at a time when traditional christenings and other religious rituals are becoming less common. Many parents still want to mark this special moment formally — to celebrate their child’s arrival, share their chosen name and acknowledge the hopes they hold for their future. I willl ensure every naming ceremony is crafted with care, joy and personal touches, creating a moment that feels special to all concerned.
